Al Nassr was banned by FIFA from registering new players

Ronaldo’s rich team Al Nassr met a big ‘variable’, banned by FIFA from registering new players for 3 transfer periods because … owed money.

According to the latest news, Al Nassr is being held by FIFA to register new players, regardless of domestic or international transfers. The penalty applies in 3 consecutive transfer periods with the club in the Saudi Pro League.

Al Nassr của Ronaldo bị FIFA cấm đăng ký cầu thủ mới vì... nợ tiền

This ruling stems from the fact that the team Ronaldo is playing for has failed to pay additional debts to Leicester City as part of a £14m deal for Nigerian striker Ahmed Musa in 2018.

Musa scored only 5 goals for Leicester but he contributed 14 goals in 62 games for Al Nassr to help the club win the Saudi Pro League 2018/19.

Based on this achievement of Musa, the Premier League team will receive an additional amount of £ 390,000, but

Al Nassr refused to pay and as a result they received a heavy penalty from FIFA.

In 2021, FIFA ruled that Al Nassr must pay the above amount to Leicester City and then the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) also sided with the Foxes.

The team Ronaldo currently joins, then has been required to pay the remaining fee as agreed in the terms of the contract, otherwise the transfer will be banned. But Al Nassr did not comply.

It was not until now when the heavy penalty was given, that Al Nassr pledged to quickly pay the above debt and hope that the ban would soon be lifted by FIFA.
